These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Umbrella app, provided by Umbrella Weather Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By downloading or using Umbrella, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to all apps distributed through the App Store.
Using Umbrella
Umbrella is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to circumvent its purchase mechanisms, or reverse-engineer it except where the law permits.
Umbrella+ subscriptions
- Plans. Umbrella+ is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Free trial. The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends; if you don't cancel, the annual price is charged when the trial expires.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends. Payments already made are non-refundable except as required by law or granted by Apple.
- Payments and refunds. All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Lapsed subscriptions. If your subscription ends, anything you set up (people, places, preferences) stays on your device, and Plus features pause until you resubscribe.
Weather information
Umbrella provides weather forecasts, alerts, and suggestions for general informational purposes. Forecasts are inherently uncertain and conditions can change faster than any app can reflect. Umbrella should not be your only source of information for decisions involving safety, travel, or property — in severe weather, follow official guidance from your local meteorological agency and authorities.
Health information
Health-related alerts (such as pollen, air quality, heat, or pressure) are informational only and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified professional about health concerns.
Availability
Some features depend on data that varies by region (for example, minute-by-minute precipitation and official government weather alerts) and on device permissions and connectivity. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Umbrella Weather Ltd is not liable for losses arising from reliance on forecasts or alerts, from data-provider inaccuracies, or from the app being unavailable. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights that apply where you live.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the app evolves; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
